Sikh Heritage Day at Worcester

In 2016-207 the Sikh Museum Initiative under the Anglo Sikh Wars project the first of its kind in the UK.

On display we had relics and artefacts from the Worcester Museum Service & Mercian Regiment Museum.

This included the Sikh Coatee most likely belonging to a chieftain’s son from the battle of Ferozeshah.

In 2025 we are holding a Sikh heritage Day with the Worcester teams to bring out many Sikh related objects so they can be seen by the public.

We will also be showcasing our 3D relics and Virtual Reality setup. There will be talks by Gurinder Singh Mann, Sikh historian.

This will be a great day to explore objects to from the Sikh Wars. Free event – numbers are limited, and booking is essential at Eventbrite.
