A great display of antique weapons and art ‘jite shastar namang’ will be taking place on Sun 27th August as part of the summersmagam organised by Sikh 2 Inspire at the Oakland’s Centre, Handsworth.

The weapon and art collection (which is an amazing must see collection) is by Wootz Militaria with a talk on shastarvidiya, (sikh art of war) by Luvjinder Singh as well as talk on digitising Sikh history, discussing the technologies and techniques that can be used to preserve our heritage in digital form by Taran 3D.

The Sikh Museum Initiative will also be displaying their popup exhibition on the Anglo Sikh Wars  alongside touchscreen and  augmented reality interactive exhibits for everyone to experience. Sikh scholar and historian Gurinder Singh Mann will be explaining the history behind these important battles.
